We’re very excited to announce that former Daily Record Head of Digital News, Iain Pope, has joined us in the newly-created role of Editorial Director.
Iain was previously digital intake editor for STV and assistant news editor of The Scotsman and Edinburgh Evening News, and has worked in numerous print and online executive editorial roles for news outlets in Scotland and England in a career of more than 20 years. He will work with the Leith-based strategic communications and PR agency across a range of accounts.
When asked about his new role, Iain said he was attracted not only by Stripe’s enviable reputation within the industry as a multiple-award winning agency, but also as an interesting and challenging place to work. “Everybody I spoke to told me to jump at the chance of joining the team. I’m very much looking forward to being a part of an expanding outfit bursting with fresh ideas and representing some exceptional clients.”

Hot on the tails of our recent digital expansion, we’re excited to announce the addition of four new and very talented Stripes to our growing team.
Andrew Boocock is a former senior account manager at Gardiner Richardson managing B2B and consumer accounts, joins Stripe as an senior account manager in our Edinburgh office. Prior to agency life Andrew was a sports journalist for the BBC.
Hayley Angell, an Aussie native, communications specialist and former keynote speaker, has taken up the role of account manager in our Glasgow office. Hayley brings with her a wealth of experience and passion for integrated marketing campaigns, social media strategy and great writing.
Elaine Cowan joins Stripe as PA to the Board. Drawing on her experience of juggling commercial property marketing and raising a fearless toddler, Elaine is set to bring more than a little order to the Stripe board.
Ana Zamora, a seasoned receptionist and paella-maker extraordinaire joins Stripe in our fast-paced front of house role.
On the back on some exciting new business wins we’re thrilled to announce the appointment of three new Stripes.
Rachael Stone joins the team as Account Manager, returning to Scottish shores from Hong Kong where she worked with a variety of clients including airlines, luxury fashion brands and sporting events including the British and Irish Lions Tour to Australia campaign. At Stripe she’ll be bringing her expertise to deliver campaigns for IRN-BRU, Sourz and Scottish Government Safer cluster.
Senior Account Executive Orla McGowan joins Stripe following two years in editorial at a number of interior magazines where she gained an understanding of the dynamics of the publishing industry and its close relationship with PR. At Stripe she is putting her knowledge and creativity to good use on VELUX, the Kitchin and ScottishPower.
As an Account Executive, Annie Ashby hails from Australia and brings with her a passion for the food and drink sector as well as experience of promoting Australian Wool and working for Gourmet Traveller Magazine. Annie is furthering her skills and interests at Stripe working on Hotel Missoni and Nairn’s.
