Road Safety campaign drives away with top award

A campaign that Stripe worked on with The Scottish Government and Road Safety Scotland (part of Transport Scotland) has received a prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award.

This award recognises a ground-breaking campaign aimed at reducing the number of fatalities on Scotland’s country roads.

The innovative Country Roads campaign, fronted by former Formula 1 racing driver David Coulthard, sought to get across the message that ‘even the best drivers in the world adjust their speed on country roads’. It was selected as a winner from 70 campaigns and initiatives throughout the world.

Stripe breakthrough £2,200 fundraising target

Stripe breakthrough £2,200 fundraising target

We’re thrilled to announce that this week we surpassed our £2,200 fundraising target for Breakthrough Breast Cancer!

After pedaling for Scotland last September and wearing our onesies in May, last Friday we joined with our colleagues at Blonde Digital for a final event: the Great Pink Bake Off!

Each member of the team was rallied to dust off their aprons and bake up a treat, with the results sold through a bake sale at Bond No9. From flapjacks and rocky roads to elaborate tiered cakes that would have Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood weak at the knees, the team put on a stellar spread for a great cause.

The total amount raised by the bake sale for Breakthrough Breast Cancer Scotland was £318, taking us over our £2,200 donations target for 2013.

Breakthrough is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to stopping women dying from breast cancer, funding 25% of the UK’s breast cancer research.

A special thanks to Bond No9 for putting on free teas and coffees for our bake sale and to all the local businesses who supported us by coming along and tucking in.

Promotions Ahoy!

Promotions Ahoy!

Today, we’re thrilled to announce two new promotions in the Stripe team. Both Kirsty Grierson and Shaun Bell have been promoted to Account Manager.

Kirsty joined us as an AE in 2012 and in the last year has worked tenaciously on consumer campaigns for Nairn’s, Hotel Missoni and The Kitchin to deliver fantastic results as well as helping to launch an award winning photography competition for VELUX.

Starting on our Stars and Stripes graduate scheme in 2011, Shaun has worked his way through the ranks producing stellar work for John Lewis, Road Safety Scotland, Waverley Care and Young Scot as well as developing solid relationships with media along the way.

Congratulations guys!
