Edinburgh Airport leading the way for MoonWalk support

Staff at Edinburgh Airport are on a mission to champion this year’s MoonWalk Edinburgh, the breast cancer charity Walk the Walk event that is set to take the capital by storm on 9th June 2012.

Every summer, The MoonWalk attracts hundreds of walkers who fly into Edinburgh Airport from around the country to Power Walk 13 or 26 miles of the capital’s terrain at the stroke of midnight, all in aid of raising money to improve the lives of cancer patients in Scotland.

Edinburgh Airport will host a special welcome celebration for all MoonWalkers arriving at the terminal. After completing their wonderful challenge, charity teams proudly wearing their medals will be pampered with beauty treatments and offered food and drink vouchers as a well done while they await their flights home at the airport.

In addition to sponsoring a team of airport workers to complete The MoonWalk, a dedicated group of Edinburgh Airport staff will be on hand at the event as volunteers throughout the night of 9 June to distribute supplies and offer support to walkers as they take on the gruelling challenge.
