Stripe scoops jackpot with the People’s Postcode Lottery

Stripe Communications has been appointed as strategic partner to the People’s Postcode Lottery – Scotland’s first charity lottery launching on 4 January 2008.

Stripe secured the account win after a competitive pitch process involving two high profile London agencies.

The current remit includes managing all of the operational elements and partnerships for the launch of People’s Postcode Lottery in Scotland. Specifically, Stripe has been working with the People’s Postcode Lottery to secure charity beneficiaries and ambassadors, national and regional media partners and to manage the sponsorship of stv’s gameshow ‘Postcode Challenge’, as well as all PR and marketing activity. Strategic direction is provided by managing director, Juliet Simpson, with support from day-to-day account lead, Gemma Bell.

The Postcode Lottery concept, is already a huge success in The Netherlands and Sweden where over EURO 3 billion has been donated to good causes and 4.3 million people play each week. Players subscribe to the lottery and purchase a £2 weekly ticket based on their postcode. From January each ticket in the winning postcode receives a share of the weekly Postcode Street Prize of £25,000.
